Unifor National has joined with the Centre for Research & Education on violence Against Women & Children at Western University in a study aiming to assess the prevalence of workplace sexual harassment in specific sectors, what is currently being done to deal with these situations and what information and resources are needed to deal with the occurrences more effectively.
As a first step to promote a safe space for sharing of experience a survey has been created. The survey is confidential and anonymous and those that complete it will not be identified. We are asking that our members be encouraged to take 5-10 mins of their time to voluntarily fill out the survey. There are posters posted in the workplace and on our district social media pages. There is a QR code on the posters for easier access to the survey.
